GameDaily Connect USA: Respawn, Gameloft, Microsoft and more featured for Liveops track

GameDaily Connect kicks off on August 27. Industry professionals looking forward to the Liveops track can expect to hear from powerhouses like Microsoft and Gameloft at the Disneyland Hotel.

GameDaily Connect’s first event draws ever closer, with the festivities running from August 27 to 29 at the Disneyland Hotel. This year, the Liveops track is looking particularly enticing. Our Liveops track will feature valuable insight from the likes of Microsoft and Gameloft about the nuts and bolts of maintaining live service titles, how to manage product growth in a rapidly-changing landscape, and more.

Live service games have become prevalent in the industry. This segment of games is changing the commercial discussions and considerations that have to be had around the production and longevity of games in general.

As a developer, it’s important to keep up to date with how the industry is being shaped by these new titles, and how communities themselves are changing how they interact with games in this new age. You’ll want to catch PlayFab’s Senior Program Manager, Brent Elmer, as he heads up a panel on looking beyond immediate games as service considerations and how Liveops can be used as a powerful tool for audience engagement.

For examples of how a specific franchise has been aided by Liveops and enjoyed a multi-year growth trajectory, one needs to look no further than Disney Magic Kingdoms. Flavio Caracas, the Director of Monetisation at Gameloft, will be presenting a panel on this particular title’s success as well as the lessons that industry professionals can learn about how to adapt content release strategies and promotions for the live service market. It’s not just about coming up with a brand identity, it’s also about ensuring that games retain what their audience loves about them without sacrificing innovation in the Liveops sphere.

Tickets for GameDaily connect are now on sale. Whether it’s more information about how to use Liveops as a key part of marketing free to play games, or how to turn analytics and current live service trends to your advantage across multiple genres, our panels will have you covered.
